About PDF Page Rotation

PDF page rotation changes the display direction of each page by modifying the Rotate property in the PDF. Unlike rasterization, this preserves all original content — text, vectors, links, forms and annotations remain intact. The rotation is permanent and will be preserved when the PDF is opened in any viewer.

How to Rotate PDF Pages

  1. Upload your PDF file using the drop zone or file selector.
  2. View all pages in the thumbnail grid.
  3. Click a page to select it, or use selection tools (All, Odd, Even, Landscape, Portrait, Range).
  4. Click rotate left (↺), right (↻) or 180° to rotate selected pages.
  5. Use batch buttons to rotate all pages at once.
  6. Use Undo/Redo to fix mistakes (up to 20 steps).
  7. Click 'Rotate and Download PDF' to save the result.

Rotating a Single Page

Click a page thumbnail to select it, then use the rotation buttons. Only the selected page will be rotated. You can also hover over a thumbnail and use the quick rotate buttons that appear.

Batch Rotating All Pages

If no pages are selected, the rotation buttons apply to all pages. You can also use the batch buttons (All ← 90°, All → 90°, All ↕ 180°) to rotate every page at once regardless of selection.

PDF Rotation vs. Flipping

This tool permanently modifies the PDF Rotate property — the rotation persists every time the file is opened. This is different from a temporary display rotation that only affects the current view. PDF rotation is not the same as flipping (mirroring), which would reverse the content horizontally or vertically. Rotation preserves all text, vectors, links and form fields.
