About PDF Cropping

PDF cropping changes the visible area of each page by modifying the CropBox. Content outside the new crop box is hidden but may still exist in the file. This tool lets you automatically detect and remove white margins, or manually set crop areas for specific pages.

How to Crop PDF Pages

  3. Adjust top, bottom, left, and right margins precisely.
  4. Apply the crop to all pages, selected pages, or a custom range.

Does PDF Cropping Delete Content?

No. Standard PDF cropping only changes the visible page area (CropBox). Content outside the crop box may still be present in the file and could potentially be restored. Cropping is not a secure way to remove sensitive information. Use the Redact PDF tool for permanent content removal.

Does Cropping Reduce File Size?

Usually not significantly. Modifying the CropBox only changes which part of the page is visible; the underlying content remains. To reduce PDF file size, use the Compress PDF tool instead.

Can I restore the original crop area?▼

Can I process password-protected PDFs?▼
No. This tool does not support encrypted or password-protected PDFs. Please remove the password first using another tool.
Will cropping affect digital signatures?▼
