What is a Business Day?
A business day is any day that is not a weekend or holiday. By default, Saturday and Sunday are weekends. You can customize this and add your own holidays.
Custom Weekends
You can select any combination of days as weekends. Common presets include Sat & Sun, Fri & Sat (common in some Middle Eastern countries), or no weekends at all.
Holidays
Add holidays manually, paste a list, or import from CSV/JSON files. Holidays that fall on weekends are only excluded once.
Special Workdays
Some regions designate weekend days as working days (make-up workdays). These override the regular weekend schedule.
Importing Holiday Lists
You can import CSV, TSV, TXT or JSON files. CSV format: date,name,type,repeatYearly. JSON format: array of objects with date, name, type and repeatYearly fields.

Special workdays override weekend status. If a Saturday is marked as a special workday, it counts as a business day.
Can I import a holiday list?

Why doesn't it auto-load country holidays?
Holiday schedules vary by country, region, industry and company. We don't rely on external APIs to ensure accuracy and privacy.
Is daylight saving time handled?
This tool works with calendar dates only, not time. DST does not affect the calculation.
