How to Add Page Numbers to PDF

Start Numbering from Page 1

If your PDF has a cover page, you can skip it and start numbering from the second page. Set 'Skip first page' and 'Start number' to 1. The cover will have no page number, and the second page will show '1'.

Skip Cover Pages

You can skip the first 1, 2, or N pages of your PDF. Skipped pages won't display any page numbers. After skipping, numbering starts from your specified start number.

Continuous vs Original Page Numbers

Limitations

The tool uses standard fonts (Helvetica, Times Roman, Courier). For CJK characters, additional fonts are loaded automatically. Very large PDFs may require significant memory. The tool does not modify existing content, only adds new text layers.
