This tool supports JPG, PNG, WebP, BMP and static GIF. Animated GIFs only retain the first frame. Maximum 30MB per image, up to 50 images at once. Very large images may be limited by device memory.

Compression Rules
Image compression mainly works by reducing encoding quality, adjusting resolution, removing non-essential metadata, or using more efficient formats. Results depend on original content, size, format and quality settings. Already highly compressed images may not reduce significantly further.

Are images uploaded to a server?
No. All image reading, compression and downloading happens entirely in your browser.
Does compression reduce clarity?
Compression does reduce quality to some extent, but smart mode automatically selects appropriate quality to balance file size and image quality.
What's the difference between smart and quality compression?
Smart compression auto-selects quality based on file size. Quality compression lets you manually set the value.
Why didn't the file size change much?
The original may already be highly compressed, or the content is complex. Try lowering quality or reducing dimensions.
Why is PNG hard to compress?
PNG is a lossless format that doesn't support quality parameters. To significantly reduce PNG size, convert to WebP or JPG.
Can I compress to a specific KB?
Use the "Target Size" mode. The system will try to approach the target, but may not match exactly.
Why doesn't actual size match the target?
Compression depends on content complexity, resolution and format. The system tries to get close but can't guarantee exact match.
Does it support batch compression?
Yes. Add multiple images and compress them in batch, then download individually or as a ZIP.
Are EXIF and location data removed?
EXIF is removed by default. You can disable this in metadata settings.
Why can't animated GIF play after compression?
The first version doesn't handle full GIF animation, only retaining the first frame.
Which format is smallest — JPG, PNG or WebP?
Usually WebP has the best compression, followed by JPG, then PNG. Convert to WebP for smallest files.
Why might very large images fail?
Extremely large images may exceed browser memory limits. Try processing in smaller batches or resize first.
